Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is applicable to the Naze app (hereinafter referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices, which was developed by Naze App LTD (hereinafter referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Freemium service. This service is provided “AS IS”.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

The Application acquires the information you supply when you download and register the Application. Registration with the Service Provider is not mandatory. However, bear in mind that you might not be able to utilize some of the features offered by the Application unless you register with them.

The Service Provider may also use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

No. This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Adapty

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Meta (Facebook) SDK (iOS only)

We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to analyze app usage and improve the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. The Meta SDK may collect information about your interactions with the app, including events (such as app launches, registrations, or purchases), device identifiers (such as the Identifier for Advertisers — IDFA, if you have granted permission), and approximate location (based on IP address).

This information is shared with Meta Platforms to measure advertising performance, conduct analytics, and deliver more relevant ads. For more details on how Meta processes your data, please review the Meta Privacy Policy. You can opt out of tracking at any time through your iOS device settings by selecting “Ask Apps Not to Track”.

Accessibility API (Android Only)

The Android version of Naze uses the AccessibilityService API strictly for its core functionality — helping users reduce screen time and develop mindful digital habits.

Specifically, the Accessibility API is used to:

• Detect when a user opens apps from their selected “distraction list”;
• Show a reflection screen before access.

The Application:

• Does not read, record, or transmit any personal or sensitive data displayed on the screen;
• Does not use Accessibility for automation, remote control, or keylogging;
• Processes all interactions locally on the user’s device;
• Allows users to disable Accessibility access at any time via system settings.

This use fully complies with Google Play’s User Data and Accessibility API policies.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it using standard uninstall processes.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Automatically Collected information is retained for up to 24 months, after which it may be stored in aggregate form.

Children

The Application is not directed to children under 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.

Security

The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information through physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. However, no security system is fully impenetrable.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Application signifies your acceptance of any changes.

By using the Application, you consent to the Service Provider’s processing of your information as described.

Naze Chrome Extension (“Naze: Mindful Website Blocker”)

This section describes the data practices of our Chrome browser extension, in addition to the practices described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy for our mobile application.

Data stored locally on your device

The extension stores the following information locally, using the browser’s built-in storage (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

• The list of websites you have chosen to block
• Active timed browsing sessions and their remaining time
• Reasons you have typed when pausing before visiting a blocked site
• Aggregated usage counters (e.g. number of pauses granted)
• Onboarding and tutorial completion state

This data is deleted automatically if you uninstall the extension.

Anonymous product analytics

The extension sends a small number of anonymous, aggregate analytics events (for example: “onboarding completed,” “a site was unlocked”) to PostHog, a third-party analytics provider, to help us understand how the extension is used and improve it. These events:

• Are tied to a randomly generated identifier created on your device, which is never linked to your name, email, account, or any other real-world identity
• Never include the domain name of any website you have blocked or visited
• Never include the reason you typed or any other content you entered
• Are processed with IP-based geolocation enrichment disabled

We use PostHog’s EU data hosting for this processing.

What the extension does not collect

The extension does not use a content script and never reads the text, images, or other content of the pages you visit. It does not keep a history or log of the websites you visit, does not track your keystrokes, mouse movements, or clicks, and does not collect your name, email address, location, or any financial, health, or authentication information.

Reading page URLs to enforce your block list

To determine whether a page you’re navigating to or switching to matches a site on your block list, the extension reads the URL (and, in some cases, the page title) of the active tab. This happens locally on your device in real time — these URLs are not stored in a history log, are not associated with any identifier, and are never transmitted to us or any third party.

Permissions

The extension requests the webNavigation, tabs, storage, and alarms browser permissions solely to detect navigation to sites you have blocked, display the pause screen, enforce the time limit you choose, and store your preferences locally, as described above.
